The (Baghdad International Center for Studies and Peacebuilding) held a scientific symposium entitled (Women are an active energy in building peace), on Saturday 9/24/2022.
The symposium was chaired by Mrs. (Hana Edwar), in the presence and participation of a group of academic and human rights figures active in the field of supporting and empowering women.
The symposium began with a speech by the chair of the symposium, Mrs. Adwar, in which she stressed the need for women to take their real role in building peace because of the capabilities they possess that contribute to establishing it and spreading a culture of coexistence and tolerance among the members of society, adding that women, especially in developing countries, suffer from the presence of many obstacles that hinder their ability in exercising this role.
While the participants in the symposium emphasized that the participation of women in laying the foundations of peace and coexistence in society is important because of their capabilities and effectiveness in influencing the various classes of society and the presence they have achieved, especially in recent years.
In conclusion, certificates of participation were distributed among the participants in the symposium.
