The Baghdad International Center for Studies and Peacebuilding is a non-governmental organization that serves as a joint forum for international policy makers and researchers to exchange information and experiences by organizing seminars, workshops and international conferences in order to bring together views and share proposals.

Through a group of researchers, thinkers, academics and politicians, the center seeks to build bridges of communication between Iraq and Iraq’s geographical neighbors, extending to the countries of the Middle East, the European Union and other countries of the world.

The Center is considered an independent research institution that provides a broad scope and is concerned with diagnosing and analyzing the political situation in Iraq and the Arab world by paying attention to peace studies and conflict resolution by opening channels and bridges of cultural and political dialogue with discerning research centers in the Middle East and the European Union by providing visions and proposing alternatives and options to support Making decisions, drawing up policies, and providing analyzes and perceptions about the most prominent problems and challenges plaguing Iraq and its regional environment.

The Baghdad International Center for Studies and Peacebuilding was established in early January of 2017 in the capital, Baghdad, where the events took place, after a long labor of the political process for more than fifteen years. The center includes a group of researchers, academics and politicians who influenced the political process in the transitional period in Iraq after 2003. .

The center also seeks to document the political events that Iraq has gone through, including political transformations, setbacks and crimes it was subjected to from external agendas, in order to establish new visions for its future so that peace and societal peace prevail in the region.

The center also seeks to communicate with all researchers and thinkers to enrich political thought to chart a secure future for the region.
